WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THIS ADVENTURE TRIP
The Nepal Himalayas are best seen on this trek as one traces the main route through the Khumbu region from the Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar. The trekkers get a close view of the world’s great mountains, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and other peaks. Also, we visit the famous Gokyo Lakes and cross over the Renjo La Pass (5430 m).

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU
Upon arrival in Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, meet our representative, who will assist and transfer us to the hotel and will help us check-in. The rest of the day is free for leisure. In the evening a welcome dinner at a Nepali restaurant featuring a cultural program. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 2: FLY TO LUKLA (2880 m/9,948 ft) & TREK TO PHAKDING (2652 m/8,700 ft - 3 hrs)
The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla with the snowline of the Himalayan Range in the north and the rugged landing in the Lukla airport is said to be one of the most spectacular in the world. After a short break the trek starts by following the trail leading to the northwest direction, which ultimately descends to the riverside settlement at Phakding. Dinner and overnight at Phakding.
DAY 3: TREK TO NAMCHE BAZAAR (3,447 m /11,310 ft - 6 hrs)
Follow the Bhote Koshi through the forest and pasture land, along the valley dotted Sherpa settlement, Monjo. After Monjo walk about 10 minute to reach to Jorshale, where our Sagarmatha National Park entry permit will be checked. From Jorshale descend again to Bhote Koshi River and cross the Bhote Koshi and climb steeply to the large Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar. Near the halfway point, view of Everest (8,848 m) and Lhotse (8,511 m) come into sight. This prosperous town is largest in Khumbu. Mt. Thamserku (6,648 m) and Kwangde Ri (6,624 m) loom along the east and west of the village. The sacred mountain Khumbila (5,707 m) dominates the skyline along the west. Dinner and overnight at Namche.
DAY 4: TREK TO THAME (3820 m / 12,532 ft - 4-5 hrs)
Traverse westward with views of Kwangde (6,343 m) and a waterfall cascading off its flanks. Follow Bhote Kosi with its bank covered with the red and yellow rhododendron forests (in full blossom in May). Cross the river and look for views of Thamserku (6,648 m) and Kusum Kanguru (6,370 m). Climb up to Thame village through the forest. It is a secluded village and the birthplace of Tenzing Norgay the first Sherpa to climb the Mount Everest. Dinner and overnight at lodge in Thame.
DAY 5: REST DAY IN THAME FOR REST AND ACCLIMATIZATION.

DAY 6: TREK TO LUNGDEN (4,380 m / 14,370 ft - 4-5 hrs)
Today we start our serious high-altitude trekking. We walk for about 4 hours through a stunning landscape on an old trade route to Tibet to the village of Lungden. This village has only one lodge and very aptly called the Renjo La Support Lodge. Dinner and overnight at lodge in Lungden.
DAY 7: TREK TO GOKYO (4,750 m/15,583 ft) VIA RENJOLA PASS (5430 m/17,814 ft - 8-9 hrs)
The big day starts real early and it is a long day, as we have to walk about 6 hours to reach the pass, going slow because of the high altitude. After a brief stopover to enjoy the stunning beauty of the Everest range and photographs, we start on a remarkably difficult downhill journey for about 3 hours to reach the village of Gokyo, walking along the stunning and beautiful Dudh Kunda. Dinner and overnight at lodge in Gokyo.
DAY 8: TREK TO GOKYO FIFTH LAKE
After breakfast trek to Gokyo fifth lake which offer excellent views of Everest and Cho Oyu. Later return to our hotel for rest. Dinner and overnight in Gokyo.
DAY 9: GOKYO TO PHORTSE TANGA (3,680 m /12,073 ft - 7 HRS.) VIA MACCHHERMO AND DOLE
After breakfast it is about a two-hour gradual walk to Machhermo. After Machhermo continue trek to Luza. From Luza it is about half an hour steady descent to the village Dole. After lunch in Dole we continue our steep descent through rhododendron and oak forests to Phortse Tanga. Dinner and overnight at Phortse Tanga.
DAY 10: TREK TO MANJO VIA NAMCHE BAZAAR (3,447 m /11,310 ft)
After breakfast climb to Monla Pass from where you can get a magnificent view of the Amadablam (6,856 m), Kangtega (6,685 m) and Thamserku (6,648 m) standing high above the meadows of Thyangboche monastery. From here the trail leads along the hillside with views of Amadablam and Thamserku before descending into the rhododendron forest and then towards an impregnable looking rock wall on the south side of the valley. Descend further down to Kyamjuma for lunch. After lunch continue our trek to Namche bazaar. After some rest in Namche Bazaar, head to the end of the village and then immediately start to descend to the river. If going up was tough, walking downhill is as difficult. Head along the banks of the river and then further descend to Monjo. Dinner and overnight at lodge in Monjo.
DAY 11: BACK TRACK TO LUKLA (2,880 m/9,948 ft)
After breakfast trek to Lukla via Phakding. It is interesting to watch others starting enthusiastically on the trek ahead. From Phakding, it is a surprisingly hard, uphill climb to Lukla, which should take about 3 hours. It is a delightful ending to the trip as one enters into this busy village and our teahouse at Lukla. Dinner and overnight at Lukla.
DAY 12: FLY BACK TO KATHMANDU
Early morning, fly from Lukla to Katmandu on a twin Otter. Upon arrival, we transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free. Evening: Group farewell dinner at the famous Rum Doodle Restaurant & Bar. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 13: FREE TILL FINAL DEPARTURE FROM KATHMANDU
Free until final departure transfer to the airport.
