Our last stop is Pokhara where besides sightseeing we do a short hike to Sarangkot. Sarangkot offers panoramic views of Mt. Machapuchare, the Annapurna Himalayan Range including the Dhaulagiri and Mt. Manaslu.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL KATHMANDU (1,402 m / 4,600 ft). DRIVE TO NAGARKOT (32 kms, 1.5 hr)

Arrive at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport and embark on your scenic drive to Nagarkot. Which situated at an altitude of 2,175 m. Besides being a famous spot for sunset and sunrise views, Nagarkot is also well known for a magnificent view of the Himalayan ranges. Spend a relaxing evening in the resort. Overnight at the resort.

DAY 2: DAY HIKE TO NALA (3 hrs). DRIVE TO DHULIKHEL (1,440 m / 4,725 ft; 15 kms; 45 min)

Wake up early to view the sunrise from the hotel. After breakfast, start your hike to Nala. The trail is well defined and it is mostly through the forests with lush, green surroundings and small villages. At Nala, we get in the vehicles and start our drive to Dhulikhel. Upon arrival, check in to the resort for refreshment and lunch. The rest of the day is free. Overnight at the resort.

DAY 3: DHULIKHEL - LAST RESORT (72 kms; 3 hrs)

After breakfast, we drive to Last Resort, along the Ariniko Highway. Upon arrival, check in to the resort for refreshment and lunch. Rest of the day is free. Overnight at the resort.

DAY 4: FREE DAY AT LAST RESORT

Enjoy your free day in Last Resort with activities like Canyoning, Bungee Jumping etc. Overnight at the resort.

DAY 5 RAFTING IN BHOTE KOSI RIVER

After breakfast, get in to the waiting vehicle and drive to the starting point for the rafting trip in the Bhote Koshi River with packed lunch. The run is for a couple of hours. The rafting is done in the lower section of the river. Relax in the evening. Overnight at the resort.

DAY 6: DRIVE BACK TO KATHMANDU

Post breakfast, drive to Kathmandu via the Ariniko Highway. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel for refreshment and rest. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 7: SIGHTSEEING IN KATHMANDU

After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu City.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: It is the historic seat of royalty. The Durbar square, with its old temples and places, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of people. It is here that kings of Nepal are crowed and their coronations solemnized. Interesting things to see her are Taleju Temple built by Mahendra Mall in 1549 AD, the temple of Kal Bhairav, the god of destruction, Nautalle Durbar, Coronation Nasal Chowk, the Gaddi Baithak, the statue of King Pratap Mall, the Big Drum, the Jagannath temple and Kasthmandap. It was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument list in 1979 AD.
Goddess Kumari (the only living goddess in the world): Kumari (Vestal Virgin) or the only living Goddes in the world, who represents a very ancient Hindu deity of Nepal locally known as Taleju, is Buddhist by birth, The temple Kumari is situated in the vicinity of Hanuman Dhoka Palace. The building has intricately carved wooden balconies and window screens. The Kumari acknowledges greetings from her balcony window. Once a year during Indra Jatra festival the king of Nepal seeks the Kumari’s blessing.
Kasthamandap Temple: Located near the temple of Kumari, it is said to have been built by King Laxmi Narsingha Malla in the beginning of the sixteenth century. It is said to be constructed from the wood of a single tree. The city of Kathmandu derives its name from this temple.
Boudha Nath Stupa: The stupa lies 8 km east of Kathmandu. This ancient colossal Stupa is one of the biggest in world, and the centre of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. It was listed in the UNESCO World heritage Monument list in 1979 AD.
Pashupati Nath Temple: Situated 5 km east of kathmandu, the temple of Lord Shiva, Pashupati Nath, with two-tiered golden roof and silver door is considered one of the holiest shrines for Hindus. Although only Hindus are allowed inside temple, visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed in the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river. The temple was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument list in 1979 AD.

DAY 8: DRIVE TO CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK (150 m / 492 ft; 196 kms; 5 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Chitwan National Park. Upon arrival at the Park entry-point meet the naturalists / representatives from the jungle lodge, cross the river on a small ferry and get transferred by Land Rovers / canoes / elephants to the lodge situated inside the National Park. In the evening, the well stocked bar caters to the needs of the thirsty and a hearty meal of continental or Nepalese cuisine will be served around the campfire. Overnight at jungle lodge.

DAY 9: FULL DAY JUNGLE ACTIVITY

Early wake up call and proceed for an elephant ride or a jungle walk, to view the wildlife. This is the best time of the day to see the animals as we silently brush through dewy tall elephant grass (18-20 ft. tall), a habitat for rhinos, tigers and other wild animals. Spend 2-3 hours in the jungle, then return to the camp for breakfast. Shortly afterwards, visit the elephant stables to get a firsthand knowledge on elephants from senior naturalists. Here one can witness the rare scene of elephants at their bath.
After a hearty lunch at camp, the afternoon is free for the much deserved mid-afternoon siesta or a visit to the library for general information on the National park. In the late afternoon, one can participate in the programmes offered at the camp, which includes jungle drives in Land Rovers visiting different lakes inside the Park, canoe rides/ floats or an escorted nature-walk and bird-watching excursion. Dinner and overnight at jungle lodge.

DAY 10: DRIVE TO BANDIPUR (680 m / 2,231 ft; 119 kms; 3 hours)

After breakfast, get transferred to the Park exit point, meet the waiting vehicle there and drive to Bandipur. Upon arrival check in at the resort. Rest of the day is free. Overnight stay in the hotel.

DAY 11: DRIVE TO POKHARA(883 m / 2,900 ft; 73 kms; 2 hours)

After breakfast, we start our scenic drive to Pokhara, far – nestled in the tranquil valley (827m) on the laps of the mighty Annapurna Himalaya Range. Pokhara is also known as vacationer’s paradise. The evening is free to do as we please, and we walk around the bazaar, some may opt for a boating trip on Lake Phewa. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 12: DAY HIKE TO SARANGKOT (45 min). SIGHTSEEING IN POKHARA

Early wakeup call and start drive to Sarangkot (30 minutes) to view the sunrise over the Himalayas. At the base of sunrise viewpoint, leave the vehicle there and start hike to the Sarangkot for view (weather permitting). Later hike back and transfer to the hotel for breakfast. Proceed for a sightseeing tour of Pokhara city, which includes visit to the Davis Falls, the Seti Gorge, the Gupteshwor Cave and the Tibetan Refugee Camp. Stroll around the colourful lakeside bazaar and dine out at one of the many fine restaurants. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 13: FLY POKHARA TO KATHMANDU AND FINAL DEPARTURE

After breakfast, get transferred to the Pokhara airport to board a 25-minute flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to the Tribhuvan International Airport to board the final departure flight from Kathmandu.
