LADAKH

For someone who loves relics and monuments belonging to ancient periods, then Hampi, in Karnataka, will certainly dazzle you. Not only is Hampi a UNESCO World Heritage site, but it was the former capital of the Vijaynagar Empire. The Virupaksha temple at Hampi is the chief attraction as it is here that Lord Shiva married Parvati.
