DAY 1: ARRIVAL KATHMANDU (1,400 m / 4,600 ft)

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. In the evening we meet for the trip briefing and then proceed for dinner. Overnight in a hotel.

DAY 2: HALF DAY SIGHTSEEING KATHMANDU. DRIVE TO BORDERLAND

Drive to Borderland/Last Resort(2400m / 130 Km / 3- 4Hrs)After breakfast we visit the famous Pashupatinath Temple in the heart of Kathmandu, for a darshan. Later we drive east towards the Nepal – Tibet border, The road then descends to Dolalghat, follows the Bhote-Koshiriver and then heads towards Kodari village on the Chinese border on gravel roads and landslide areas. We stop 20 kms before Kodari in a small camping resort (Borderland Resort / Last Resort).

DAY 3: BORDERLAND TO NYALAM VIA ZHANGMU (3,750 m / 12,300 ft; 157 kms/ 4 hrs)

This day we reach Kodari and complete the Nepal immigration formalities and then cross the friendship bridge on foot to the Chinese side and complete the Chinese immigration formalities. We meet our guide from Tibet and the Toyota Land Cruisers. We drive for 45 minutes through lush green hillsides and cascading waterfalls to Zhangmu. Our first night halt in Tibet at Nyalam.

DAY 4: REST DAY AT NYALAM FOR ACCLIMATISATION (3,750 m / 12,300 ft)

This day we rest at Nyalam for acclimatization.

DAY 5: NYALAM TO SAGA (4,500 m / 14,100 ft; 240 km, 5 hrs)

Drive from Nyalam to Saga via Laluna-La pass (5,050 ms / 16,564 ft) The terrain starts with a rough drive over land slide areas climbing gradually with increasing altitude to arrive at Laluna – La (pass) marked by prayer flags and cairns with skeletal yak heads with horns. You will be able to see Gaurishanker, Shishpangma and Langtang Himal peaks on this day. From here, leave the main trail to Lhasa and head west descending to the serene and beautiful Lake Paigu – Tso. Descend further to the crossing on the Tsang Po (Brahmaputra River). Cross the river then drive to the hustle and bustle of the Saga town. Overnight at Hotel / Camping.

DAY 6: SAGA TO MANSAROVAR (4,590 m / 15,060 ft; 520 km / 9-10 hrs)

This is a long day. We depart early in the morning for Manasarovar. Our overnight stay is near Chu Gompa on the banks of Mansarovar.

DAY 7: REST DAY AT LAKE MANSAROVAR

Today is a day for rest and exploration at Manasarovar.

DAY 8: MANSAROVAR TO DARCHEN VIA ASHTAPAD (4,575 ms / 15,010 ft; 40 km, 45 min)

Drive from Mansarovar to Darchen via Ashtapath from where we get a view of South face of Mt. Kailash and drive back to Darchen for lunch. From Darchen we commence the circumambulation around Mt. Kailash on the next day. We stay at a guesthouse in Darchen to complete all our formalities for the Parikrama – The circumambulation of Mt. Kailash (6,714 m/ 22,028 ft). Overnight stay at the guesthouse.

DAY 9: PARIKRAMA BEGINS... DARCHEN TO DRIRAPHUK (4,890 m / 16,040 ft; 18 km; 6 hrs)

In the morning after breakfast, we drive to reach Moksh Dwar from where we start the Parikrama (Kora) of Kailash. Overnight camp at Drira Phuk.

DAY 10: DRIRAPHUK TO ZUTULPHUK (5,150 m / 16,890 ft; 22 km; 10 hrs)

Overnight camp or guesthouse.

DAY 11: ZUTULPHUK TO DARCHEN. DRIVE TO PRAYANG (4 to 5 hrs walk; drive of 4 hrs)

Overnight in Paryang.

DAY 12: PRAYANG TO ZHANGMU (23,00 m / 7,545 ft; 525 km / 8 to 9 hrs)

Post breakfast we leave Paryang and drive to Zhangmu. Overnight stay in a hotel.

DAY 13: ZHANGMU TO DHULIKHEL VIA KODARI (1500 m / 4920 ft; 170 km / 4-5 hrs)

Post breakfast we drive to the border where we complete immigration formalities at the Chinese immigration office. After the clearance of border formalities we cross the Friendship Bridge, and walk to Nepalese Immigration office in Kodari where we will be met by our Nepalese staff. We drive to Dhulikhel for the night stay.

DAY 14: DHULIKHEL TO KATHMANDU

Post breakfast we drive from Dhulikhel to Kathmandu. Time permitting we visit Bhaktapur on our way to Katmandu. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

DAY 15: FINAL DEPARTURE

Post breakfast we transfer to the airport for final departure for our city of origin.
