January – THE CHADAR TREK – 2017
The word ‘Chaddar’ means a sheet and this trek is literally walking on a white sheet of frozen water on the Zanskar river in bitter cold and through a never-seen-before landscapes. In addition to this, you can also spot some exotic wildlife species such as blue sheep, snow leopard and ibex that can be found in these frozen surroundings.
February – CHOPTA VALLEY
Chopta Valley offers fabulous views of Himalayan peaks from any point of the trail. This place is an ideal adventure zone for mountain biking since it is covered with dense alpine forest with blooming Rhododendrons and laid-back villages. It is a perfect opportunity for first-timers who are looking to trek in the Himalayan region
March – EXOTIC ANDAMAN ISLANDS
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are India’s exotic tropical island outpost. These not-so-populated islands represent picture-perfect, near deserted beaches, incredible coral and marine life, unique wildlife and lush forests. Apart from the natural wonders the Andamans also offers a lot of adventure for the discerning traveller in search of water sports like scuba diving, surfing, snorkelling, etc.
April – EVEREST BASE CAMP
Spend a few days at the foothills of the mightiest mountain in the world. Around you are the majestic peaks of Ama Dablam, Mount Pumori, Lhotse and Nuptse and the snow-capped misty peak of Mount Everest and you experience an amazing view of the best scenery on the planet. Apart from the natural beauty there are a lot of cultural takeaways too, as one gets to experience the Sherpa village life and Buddhist monasteries from temperate to snow-line regions.
May – HAMPTA PASS CIRCUIT TREK
This place is a mecca for a first-time trekker who is reasonably fit. The Hampta Pass is the customary route between Kullu and Lahaul valleys. This trek passes through forests of walnut, oak and the occasional alder and offers magnificent views of Mt. Deo Tibba, Mt. Indrasan and their glaciers.
June – ROOPKUND TRAIL
Roopkund falls on the lap of the Trisul massif otherwise called ‘Mystery Lake’ since human skeletons and remains of horses were found there. Thousands of devout pilgrims, most of them from Garhwal, make a laborious trek to the lake from Nauti Village. This place is also famous for its camping site Bedni Bugyal, probably one of the best camping sites in the Garhwal Himalayas. Bedni Bugyal is a charming, green meadow adorned with flowers in spell-binding varieties, in full bloom
July – VALLEY OF FLOWERS & HEMKUND SAHIB
Praised by mountaineers and botanists for over a century, this beautiful valley nestled high in West Himalaya is renowned for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and outstanding natural beauty.
It is also home to rare and endangered animals, including the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, brown bear and blue sheep.
August – ZANSKAR RAFTING
This lesser explored valley of Zanskar is a treasure land of many natural wonders. The roads here are less travelled and the people, culture and traditions define the uniqueness of this place. Apart from the remote monasteries this valley also offers some of the most challenging rafting expeditions.
September – ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP
The Annapurnas are Nepal’s most sought after trekking area. Spectacular scenery, diverse cultures, forests, lakes and glaciers combine to make it one of the most scenic areas for novice or experienced trekkers.
October – FRIENDSHIP PEAK TREK (Manali)
Friendship Peak is the only open peak in the Himachal Himalaya and needs no formal training of mountaineering to climb it. It is situated in Beas Kund region of Manali region, facing several other peaks which is a treat for every true mountaineer.
November – WHITE WATER RAFTING IN GANGES
Rishikesh Devprayag is home to white water rafting and is on the banks of the river Ganga, on a sandy river beach. December – ADVENTURE IN UTTARAKHAND – TREKKING | BIKING | RAFTING
