The Kali River joins with the Gori Ganga at Jauljibi, a place famous for its annual trade fair. Kali also make confluence with the Saryu River at Pancheshwar. At the confluence with Saryu Kali it is known as Pancheshwar and famous for Mahaseer angling spot. The Kali River is a great introduction for multi‐day white‐water expedition in India. It is a typical pool drop river, with relaxing calm scenic stretches followed by big exciting rapids with long wave trains. The river flows past terraced villages, waterfalls, white sandy beaches and dense tropical jungles. The river forms the border between India and Nepal it gives a good insight into the people from both countries. The area is rich in wildlife and the river is full of big gaming fish. The area is home to leopard, bear, elephant, monkey and over 500 species.

Day 1: Delhi-Kathgodam (By Train)
Board overnight train from Delhi to Kathgodam. Night in Train.

Day 2: Kathgodam-Pancheswar(6 hrs drive)
Arrive at Kathgodam railway station, drive to Pancheswar via Lohaghat through beautiful
Kumaoni villages and terraced fields. Camp at the confluence of the Kali and Saryu rivers.
Some can try their hands at angling. Overnight in tents.

Day 3: Rafting: 4-5hrs
After breakfast and safety briefing about rafting, get into rafting gear and raft down the river.

Day 4: Rafting: 4 hrs
After breakfast raft down to Surnaya. Packed lunch can be eaten at one of the sandy beaches.
Camp little lower of Surnaya village.

Day 5: Rafting: 5hrs
Breakfast and raft down to Chuka. Today we can run many rapids of grade 3‐4, including rapid
Chuka monster. Camping after the Chuka rapid.

Day 6: Raft and drive to Kathgodam
This is our last day of rafting on the Kali with very frequent rapids and beautiful villages. We
will pass through Purnagiri gorge. Raft pull out at Boom, then drive to Kadthgodam to catch the night train to Delhi.
