DAY 1: ARRIVAL MANALI (2,050 m/6,725 ft). TRANSFER TO SOLANG (2,560 m/8,398 ft - 13 kms)

Arrive in Manali. Then drive to Solang. Overnight in a hotel.

DAY 2: SOLANG: WATERFALL WALK AND RAPPELLING/RIVER CROSSING/ROCK CLIMBING

After breakfast we continue our acclimatisation and set off for a two-hour hike to a nearby waterfall in a gorge. After spending some time there, we head back for a sumptuous lunch. This is followed by a rappelling/river crossing/rock climbing session. We head back to the hotel for a group briefing about the next day, as we are to spend the next night at our campsite at Dhundi. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: SOLANG TO DHUNDI (2,900 m / 9,500 ft; 8 kms - 3 hrs)

After breakfast, we walk leisurely to the campsite at Dhundi, an alpine plateau. We walk through a quaint pine forest surrounded by snow-clad mountains. After breaking for lunch, we walk to the Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE). We spend some time at the SASE ground and then head back to the camp. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY 4: DHUNDI TO BAKHARTHACH (3,292 m/10,800 ft) DRIVE BACK TO SOLANG (2,560 m/8,398 ft)

We make an early start and within a short while we hit the snow slopes. Enjoy the snow experience and we play in the snow. We are surrounded by Mt Friendship, Ladakhi, Hanuman Tibba and others. The trek continues – Beaskund is a fair distance away and our reaching there is subject to our walking speed and the weather and snow conditions. We trek as much as we can and head back to Dhundi and then further drive back to Solang. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5: LOCAL SIGHTSEEING IN MANALI (2,050 m/6,725 ft)

After breakfast, we depart for local sightseeing in Manali, namely the Hadimba temple and the bazaars of Manali. You can shop around the shops and then head back to Solang. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 6: FINAL DEPARTURE FROM MANALI

Final departure from Solang to Manali for your journey home.
