  • Backpack: come in various sizes that are measured in liters. For a 2-4 days hike a 60-80 liter backpack is sufficient. If you are camping with a vehicle in tow, a small back pack is recommended as you can come back to replenish your supplies.

FOOD ESSENTIALS

: Dry fruits (non-salted) are nutritious; they do not weigh much and also occupy less space. Canned ready to eat food, soups, tea/coffee/milk in powder form are great choices. If you do intend to cook, carry along light weight stove, newspapers, frying pan or barbecue kit.

HYGIENE

: Wear comfortable clothes that absorb moisture. Full sleeved clothing, knee length socks (to prevent insect bites) and a good pair of shoes.  Baby wipes, sanitizer, and toilet rolls complete the list. Ensure that you preserve nature, and leave the area as it was. Dig a deep hole to conceal human waste. Clear it of trash and other items which may damage the environment.

NEW HYGIENE

Being one with nature doesn’t mean you have to absolutely rely on nature to provide. If you can pack sensibly, your camping trip will be a breeze and an affair to remember.
