7 Proofs Even Cricketers Are Adventure Freak

Cricketers Advanture

It is not a lesser known fact that cricket is a diligently followed sport around the globe. After all it is so much more than a wooden bat and a leather ball twined together in an enchanting dance. Cricketers make this sport what it is, and they don’t just limit their source of adrenaline to cricket – they are exploring more and many options that prove that they are as much adventure freaks as we are. Take a look at how passionate they can get.

  • Sachin Tendulkar. Back in 2009 Sachin decided to go on a ‘Sky Walk’, a harnessed walk atop the 192-meter-high Auckland Sky Tower, which is the tallest structures in the Southern Hemisphere by humans. So exhilarating it was that he called it “one of the scariest experiences of my life.”

  • Suresh Raina. Always one to enjoy embarking on a safari, Suresh along with fellow cricketers Gautam Gambhir, Amit Mishra and Rohit Sharma enjoyed the beautiful dolphin and whale safari while taking a break between matches in New Zealand.

  • M. S. Dhoni. Dhoni is absolutely smitten with the adrenaline he gets from speed, and we’re not just talking about his brisk scoring rate. At the inauguration of the Bike Festival of India, he led a team of 11 racers that raced a lap in the Buddha International Circuit on his Yamaha R1. An avid biker, he owns many sophisticated bikes and cars, often referring to them as his ‘toys’ and ‘babies’.

  • Zaheer Khan. While in Auckland, Zaheer Khan preferred going for the Harbour Bridge climb, a climb of a series of short, zig-zagging steps that leads to the top of the iron structure with a breathtaking view.
  • Rahul Dravid. At the 4th Monsoon Regatta Sailing Championship in Hyderabad, Rahul was seen enthusiastically trying his hand at sailing a boat. He was later quoted as saying that sailing might even be harder than cricket.
