DAY 1: ARRIVAL MANALI (2,050 m/6,725 ft). DRIVE TO SOLANG (2,560 m/8,398 ft - 13 kms)

Arrive in Manali. Meet our representative and transfer to Hotel Iceland, Solang Valley. After lunch a small acclamitisation walk (2-3 hours). Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2: SOLANG. WATER FALL WALK AND RAPPELLING

Spend the day in Solang. Post breakfast we continue our acclimatisation and set off for a trek to a nearby waterfall in a gorge. The walk is uphill and in about two hours we arrive there. After spending some time we head back for a sumptuous lunch. Head back to the hotel for a group briefing. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: SOLANG TO DHUNDI (2,900 m / 9,500 ft; 8 kms; 3 hrs)

The trek starts! We walk leisurely to the campsite at Dhundi. Dhundi is an alpine plateau and is about 8 km away from Solang. The road is a motorable and we walk through a beautiful pine forest. We are now surrounded by snow-clad mountains. After breaking for lunch we go for an acclimatisation walk to the Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE). We spend some time at the SASE ground and then head back to the camp. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY 4: DHUNDI TO BEASKUND (3,540 m / 11,600 ft) & BACK OR CAMP AT BAKHARTHACH (3,328 m / 10,919 ft; 8 – 10 hrs to & fro)

We are to walk to the highest point of our trip – Beaskund. We make an early start and within a short while we hit some snow slopes and we play in the snow. We are surrounded by Mt Friendship, Ladakhi, Hanuman Tibba and others. The trek continues – Beaskund is a fair distance away and our reaching there is subject to our walking speed and the weather and snow conditions. We now have to make our way back to Bakharthach. Hot lunch will be provided enroute. Dinner and overnight stay at Bakharthach.
Note: Camping at Bakhartach may not be viable for April and early May groups. In such case they would return back to camp in Dhundi.

DAY 5: RETURN TO SOLANG (6 hrs). OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES IN SOLANG

We trek to Dhundi and from here onwards we can continue our trek to Solang. The rest of the day free. There is an option of exploring the bazaars of Manali. Overnight at Solang.

DAY 6: HIKE TO MT. PATALSU

Today we another challenging hike to Mt. Patalsu. Drive back to Solang for overnight stay.

DAY 7: OPTIONAL RAFTING/ MANALI SHOPPING AND FINAL DEPARTURE

After breakfast depart for rafting on the Beas River. We drive to Kullu to the starting point and gear up for rafting. We finish the rafting stretch of 14 km after 2 hrs and drive to Kullu town for lunch. There is also an option of spending entire day exploring the bazaars of Manali. In the evening, we get ready for final departure.
